I've had key problems with water spilled before- you can try a solution of 1/3 water and 2/3's isopropyl Alchohol ..put it in the sink and use a spray bottle- making sure to tap EVERY button during the process - let dry...repeat if necessasry - (i'm a chain smoker and I'm amazed at how much GUNK comes out) otherwise don't waste time and buy a new keyboard - they make them dishwasher safe now! you've just got to spend a little extra. As for the monitors - the same solution is great to clean ANY monitor incuding a laptop.

As for the GREEN in the uppder left hand corner -we just had lightning hit very near or on my house - no rain predicted...thunderstorm just HAPPENED...and I was shutting down systems as qukcly as possible. i've got 3 monitors and two of them lost color in upper left hand - whomever posted about turning them off - THANKS! It got NOTICEABLY better. I was sure they got a charge - and were toast (could have been static build up) so I used my static pad (or you can touch ANY ground to your monitor cable) and on second restart ALL is well.

Hmm... seems more like a magnet or cellphone...

When I say cellphone, i mean a very old model... the ones that weighed more than say 200gms... Coz they had such a problem..

Best is check ur PC for a mouse (a live one...)

I dunno how it happens but once my friend banged his keyboard cos he lost while playing a game. Many of his keys stopped working. But after a few 'months' they were working again.
You checked for water. But, how about magnetic ojects. The greenish color of screen seems more like a effect of a nearby magnetic feild. If your computer is near a wall there could be a possibility of a magnet behind a wall. I had experienced it with my TV when my neighbours room was being repaired.
